I agree with the other 1-star review, but am giving 2 stars because I feel guilty giving one star for a book by someone with a disability. But the points about "no information, just biographies, anecdotes" are totally true. If you notice, it's only an 88 page book, which includes about 20 pages of biographical info, acknowledgements and resources. Books of that length tend to not have much in the way of helpful info, and this is no exception (took me about 15 minutes to read the whole thing when skipping to the parts about help).

Dr. Tepper goes to the tender heart of the universal human need to be touched, seen and loved and bridges the vacuous absence of a voice and sexual support system for individuals with disabilities with simple accessible tools. I've shared this book with somatic sex therapy clients I've worked with and I've heard universally from readers that it is essential for anyone who has experienced an injury that prevents them from feeling the fullness of their sexuality and its expression. Recovery from a life-changing injury or condition is addressed with physical therapy and perhaps psycho-therapy but is intimacy and sexuality ever addressed? Dr. Tepper paves the way! Our human need to be intimate and feel connected to another is at the core of our human existence. Intimacy, sexuality and relationship is a core desire of every individual's life.

When I began a relationship with a quadriplegic I had lots of questions. This book was a great resource as well as a great read. Dr.Teppers story was honest and heartwarming. In terms any one can understand he explains the challenges and possibilities associated with paralysis and sexuality. And even covered issue's with intimacy I struggled with before meeting my partner. So helpful and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Book has no information. Just biographies, anecdotes and philosophical sayings that are worthless if you are looking for real info on how to have sex when you're paralyzed.

I was fascinated by his wealth of knowledge and expertise, and have spoken with him several times since.Tepper is an accomplished colleague being an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator, Sexuality Counselor, sex coach, writer, researcher, and speaker. I am an AASECT certified sexuality educator and approved CE provider.Back to the book - In Regain That Feeling, Tepper shares his own story of sexual self-discovery after breaking his neck at age 20, and the stories of research participants and coaching clients. As you probably can imagine, surviving a serious injury or illness, or living with a chronic condition, brings a host of physical changes, emotional responses, and relationship challenges. Feelings of helplessness, of being like less of a man or woman, defective, undeserving of love, fearing rejection, and avoiding sex would come up.As Tepper rightly pointed to me, this book is not just for differently abled people specifically spinal cord injuries (SCI), and instead for anybody and everybody who is sexual. He reveals the top seven myths holding people back from being sexual, and proceeds to unpack his seven secrets. He also provides practical advice in moving forward, as well as resources.I was really moved reading Regain That Feeling which undoubtedly was written by somebody who wasn’t just living it, but has done extensive work with survivors of SCI. I'm surprised that the book has such good reviews, because the ideas are really basic and (if you're not already familiar with them) easily found with a quick google search for DIY spy ideas. I rarely throw things out instead of passing them along, but I don't know any kids who wouldn't be under-whelmed by the ideas in this book, so it went in the garbage since my used copy wasn't worth the postage required to send it back.

The recipient loved it! He wanted spy stuff and this was highly rated and it didn't disappoint!

Kids can spend hours with this thing, and I think it is a great "toy" that is one heck of a lot better than the video games or whatever else electronic they seem to want to spend time on today. What I really like about this is it gets them to think, plan, and strategize as well as have a good time doing it. When things work out there are high fives all around or if it doesn't they go back and try a different strategy and approach - each time usually with a smile on their face and relaying back to the parent and their friends how great it was.If you are looking for a good activity for your kids this summer, this one should be on your list!

Bought for my grandson's birthday and he will love it! He is into the "spy" things now and this book has many activities for him to do and will keep him busy and hold his attention.

Purchased as a Christmas gift - the kiddo will love this, and I love how it brings science into the games that he already enjoys playing. Can't wait for our experiments to start in the New Year!

This book was a complete life change for me. My entire life I have always been moody, emotionally unstable, tossed to and fro by my thoughts, bubbling with enthusiasm one moment and then sulking in a stupor the next. My last relationship was destroyed by such a mindset. Although I had ideas of what had gone wrong, this book eloquently expounded on ideas that I had vague thoughts of, but was unable to put into words. The first time I was able to put the knowledge I learned from this book into practice was a emotionally explosive moment as I realized that I finally was able to control my thoughts and take a hold of my mind. Would highly recommend this book to any and all.

This is easily one of the best books that I have read. It isn't long, but it is packed with more information than you can wrap your head around. I have read it 4 times since I got it 3 months ago, and I am working on it again. I loved this book so much that when I was in the middle of the second chapter, I got back on Amazon and ordered another 2 copies of it. Then when I finished it I went to order 3 more but I couldn't because they were still sold out from the time that I ordered the other 2. So I had to wait for them to print more, then I did order 3 more, so I have 6 copies now and I don't regret it at all.It just feels like every paragraph is pure gold honestly, sometimes it took me 20 minutes to make it through one page because of the realizations that I was having, and I needed to take time to scribble my notes into the margins. This will change your perspective on life, and if you actually do the things that are here, you change yourself. I honestly saw a change in how happy I was by doing the things that James Allen said. This is basically scripture to me now.The only complaint that I have isn't about the book, it's more about me, because I wish that I was better at doing the things outlined in this book because I know that it would help me out a ton. So that is the next goal, make sure that I am doing the things here.

This is not a smooth, flowing read. It's full of words the average person doesn't use and speech patterns of a time now past. This may or may not be part of its charm and effect.It does however illustrate quite well the though patterns of the champions of our world and lay clear instructions for success in life. Quite simply you are what you think. It's not a book on getting rich or making friends or being happy. It's a book that reminds you of the basic principals of thought and how your thoughts effect every aspect of life. A short little reminder that your mind is your greatest asset or your biggest liability.

This is one the smallest books I've read in my life and yet most impactful and eye-opening book. This book put a lot of stress on an idea that Man is what he thinks he becomes and what he does and it's not the circumstances which make him but he makes the circumstance. If you are going through or ever been through a rough patch in your life you need to read this book. If you've ever been successful or are successful in your life you need to read this. If you are rich or ever have been rich, you need to read this book. If you are poor or was poor at one time in your life you need to read it. If you are depressed or have been depressed, you need to read this book and at-last if you are happy or were happy in your life you need to read this book. In short, no matter what the circumstance is you're going through, you need to read this book not once, not twice but at least a dozen times in your life!

I really love this book and it's teaching. I want to change my life in every area and it's up to me alone. It's teaching is very empowering. It's really up to me and when I change my mind I will change my life and it starts with my thinking. I bought 2 more books from my teenage nephews because the sooner they can learn to control their thinking and acquire what they really want out of life the better. I plan to read this book once a month for 6 month so the principles can sink in plus it's less than 80 pages.

This book packs more power than many of the best selling books in the crowded field combined. You will be better of reading this short book and following through on half of it than buying all of Robbins material and attending his seminars. Not that Tony Robbins and his colleagues does not have valuable lessons to teach, it's just that this book does such a great job in less than 50 pages that any other approach to self improvement seams a waste of time. Read it and then go do it.

So I own all of the volumes of His favorite. Its amazing, it's funny, with just a hint of BL that caters to my yaoi loving need. With this being the 10th volume I was super excited to see were their relationship was going and was even wondering if they would get more lovey dovey. But..um...That didn't happen.To be honest I loved the book, it was still funny and I loved Sato teasing Yoshida. But I was honestly expecting a bit more. I wanted to see their relationship develop more romantically but overall it felt like they were just 2 dude's who said they were going out together and were just kinda touchey feely with one another. If you don't count hand kisses you could count the amount of times they smooched in the book with one hand.Volume 10 is still a good book to have in your collection and its a lot thicker than the other volumes I have from this series. If your looking for a VERY VERY STRICTLY shounen ai book of 2 dudes who don't mind sharing kisses and their daily lives at school then this book was meant for you. If your looking for something other than that...maybe look elsewhere it won't be hard to find something.Still would definetly recommend and so happy to add to my collection 💗

This volume was refreshing. Finally, we're getting decent character development that doesn't go at a snail's pace. While there's still plenty of humor and fluff, it was a nice change of pace to get a good chunk of insight to the boys' feelings. They're becoming more honest with each other.

This book has 2 of my favorite episodes in it. The marathon race and Sato getting a fever are two of the best stories in the whole series, in my opinion. The humor in these stories is as fantastic as always. Unfortunately, this one also contains the banana peel/amnesia episode, which is just terrible. I think it's the worst of the whole series, so I dinged this book a star because of it.There's also a story about not-green-tea madeleines which falls between the two, but isn't bad as a story by itself.

Another great continuation as always. Volume 10 was particularly fun because of how Sato is slowly changing his behavior at school now that everyone knows his secret! Lots of openly sadistic scenes in this volume for plenty of fun. Can't wait for more!

Volume 10 of this bl manga is very funny and it reveals a lot about Sato 's past also his relationship with his mean family members who don't understand about his relationship with yoshida

I've been following this manga for a while. It is such a quirky and fun read. The characters are what really make this special with such off-the-wall unique personalities.

I love Vol 10 because Sato gets the tables turned on him a couple of times. We also see Sato blush and smile. What I like best is now that Yoshida & Sato's relationship is in the open, Sato doesn't care who knows about it. Torachin and Yamanaka make a very brief cameo.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got the first book in this series but I really loved both the story and the art once I got into it. I liked the characters, even the ones with the rather iffy personalities. No cute uke here just a rather goofy looking guy surprised by the love of his rather sadistic seme. The story is moving a bit slowly but I like the way the characters are developing.
