Although I have not had much time to read the book yet, I am impressed with its contents so far and will update as I go along. However, I had to leave a review pointing out that the print quality of the figures is quite bad. They are well designed figures, but when the books were printed, it seems anywhere that black and yellow ink mixed there was a bleeding of the black ink across the yellow. This messes up a lot of the text, some of which becomes unreadable, as well as arrows and borders in many of the figures. It doesn't prevent comprehension of the content but it is certainly distracting.

There is something wrong with the printing such that the diagrams are all completely messed up. I exchanged a copy and the problem was still there in the next copy.

A timely book given the recent resurgence in interest in metabolism in cancer biology, immunology and other areas. Remarkably readable for an often complex subject. Highly recommended for students and others seeking a deeper understanding of metabolism
