I absolutely adore this book, as does my one year old son. The story is cute and reminds me how much to be thankful for. The real stand out is the illustrations. I don't know why but I find them so comforting. I also love that every time I read the story I notice something new in the illustrations - they are so detailed! I read this book to my son every day and highly recommend it!

This is really about all the things we have to be very thankful for. Granddaughter loves the many details in the pictures.

Great illustrations and great story! Really liked having something I could read with my 4-year-old to talk more about meaning of Thanksgiving. Definitely worth the purchase.

What I like most about this book is the rhythm - it reminds me of "Goodnight Moon" in its lovely flow of words. For example, "Thank you for play dates, for swings and for slides," with the next page continuing, "Thank you for hopscotch and piggyback rides." The things to be thankful for are simple and heartwarming. The illustrations are very animated - there's a lot going on in each picture. It's easy to spend time pointing out all the the things that are happening on each page. I also like the low perspective, from the point of view of a child. As for its message, this should be a book that's read all year round!

The art is so pretty and the story is perfect for discussing what being thankful means. My 3s loved this story!

I have no idea why my 10 month old loves this book so much, but he does. He will flip through the pages and look at the illustrations over and over and over again. It is absolutely one of his favorites.I love the simple text paired with the detailed illustrations. It gives us a lot to "talk" about on each page. My child loves pointing at different things, which I then name, or "finding" items that he already knows. ("Where's the pumpkin?" or "can you find an apple" for example.)I wish I could find more books by this illustrator!

This book is beautiful! The story rhymes and talks about several things a small child would be thankful for- parks, slides, puppies and kitties. It also talks about being thankful for mommy, daddy and the love of family. The illustrations are beautifully rich and remind me of Fall and the holiday season. I got a copy for my children and another for my niece and I could not be happier. I would recommend this book!
